About Uptown Pokies Casino
This site provides independent reviews and factual information about Uptown Pokies, an offshore online casino operator licensed in Curaçao. We aim to help Australian players understand how the casino works, what it offers, and what to expect before signing up.
What is Uptown Pokies?
Uptown Pokies is an online casino operated by Deckmedia N.V., a company registered in Curaçao. The brand has been operating since 2012 and is explicitly marketed to Australian players. It accepts AUD, offers local payment methods, and runs promotions tailored to the Australian market.
The casino is powered by Real Time Gaming (RTG), a software platform that has served online casinos for over two decades. Its game library includes video pokies, classic slots, table games, and video poker titles.
| Wording | What it refers to |
|---|---|
| Session bankroll | The amount set aside for one sitting, decided before it starts rather than during it. |
| Demo mode | The game running on virtual credit. The maths is the same; the balance is not real. |
| Bet multiplier | A figure the game applies to a line win, most often inside the feature round. |
Licensing & Regulation
Uptown Pokies holds a licence from the Curaçao eGaming Authority under licence number 1668/JAZ. This is an offshore licence and does not replace or supersede Australian state or territory gambling regulations.
Australian players should understand that Uptown Pokies is not licensed by any Australian regulator (ACMA, state gaming commissions, or the National Gambling Regulator). It operates under Curaçao law. This means:
- Disputes are handled under Curaçao jurisdiction, not Australian consumer law.
- The casino is not covered by Australian Gambling Help services in the same way as state-licensed venues.
- Players accept the terms of an offshore operator when they sign up.
